Spoolmate users get Unispool trade-in deal

Reacting to what it said were issues still surrounding Roc Software’s Spoolmate Y2K compliance, competitor API International (512.280.4391) is offering HP 3000 Spoolmate sites copies of its Unispool network print manager for the cost of a one-year maintenance contract. Upon showing proof of Spoolmate ownership through a PO or invoice, sites can get the Management, Automated Distribution, and Network Output modules of Unispool for 15 percent of the purchase price plus a nominal administration fee.

The offer is good through the end of 1999, and can provide software that lists for between $2,550 and $19,500 at discounts of $382.50 (Series 918 tier) to $2,925 at the top tier of HP 3000. Only machines with an installed copy of Spoolmate are eligible for the offer, and additional Unispool modules aren’t part of the offer. Sites can contact API’s Stan Pascua at spascua@apinet.com for more details or a quote.
