Computech adds networked
storage devices through pact

Computech Systems Corp. (800.822.0201), a remanufacturer of HP 3000 and 9000 servers, has signed an agreement with Network Storage Solutions to become an authorized reseller for the entire NSS line of network attached storage servers.

“NSS is a solution that’s here today, it’s not emerging or developmental, and it can be implemented immediately,” said Computech CEO Frank Zaccari. “NSS servers are much more accessible; they run on current-model Intel chips and support RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, 3 and 5. They are also very versatile, and can be simultaneously network attached, SCSI attached to MPE, Fibre attached, and ESCON attached, all within the same equipment rack.”

The NSS storage solutions can be managed through the Computech spinoff InnerVu Corp. (800.634.8442), recently formed through the merger of Open System Management with Computech’s Professional Services Division. The IT professional services firm will play a role in the NSS/Computech alliance.

“Computech sells hardware, and InnerVu provide storage management and data management solutions nationally,” said Michael Tobias, Vice President of InnerVu. “NSS servers enable us to provide customers faster data access and greater security while including their existing disk or tape drives into the new NAS system. Plus, no client software licenses are required. These features alone amount to tremendous savings,” Tobias said. In addition to hardware, Computech also offers authorized HP support integration and a 24x7 help desk.
