Gateway converts 3000 apps into data objects

Pixel USA (770.449.6691) announced the release of HostAccess Gateway, which runs as an NT service and converts what it calls “any HP 3000 green screen application” on-the-fly into new real-time data objects. The data objects can be accessed by Active Server Pages to accept input or display live HP 3000 data on the Web or WAP devices. Pixel USA officials said that HostAccess Gateway paves the way for delivering HP 3000 applications to the Web and wireless worlds.

The Gateway’s HostAccess Navigator Development tool defines relevant Data Objects from specific HP 3000 screens. The defined Data Object knows how to get to the relevant HP 3000 screen and extract only the required data as requested by the Active Server Page. Very fast Palm, WAP and Web demonstrations are available, showing accessing to different live host environments.
