CSI launches disaster recovery services for small businesses

HP 3000 channel partner Computer Solutions Inc. (973.672.6000) has launched a new set of disaster recovery services for small and medium businesses and corporate departments. Minuteman Recovery Services integrate furnished office areas for people using PCs, including comprehensive networking and a data center for computer servers. The services differ from traditional hot site recovery plans, since Minuteman Office Recovery areas allocate dedicated server space for each customer.

“The Minuteman name evokes the spirit we would like to convey to our customers and potential customers,” said Computer Solutions’ John Painter. “The Minutemen of Colonial times were simple farmers who pledged to take up arms at a moment’s notice to protect what was important to them. Likewise, we developed these services as a simple and practical solution to protect what is important to our small- and medium-sized business customers.”

The company is utilizing proven tactics developed over 15 years of offering disaster recovery. The services are priced at “a third or less of the fee typically necessary for traditional recovery services,” Painter said. Contracts for the services are written for a minimum of one year.
