Caps snapped, they've got their shirts
The first of the Snap Your Cap vacation photos arrived here, as our subscribers showed off their Always Online 3000 hats in exotic settings. Steve Hammond sent a picture taken standing in front of Akaka Falls on the Big Island of Hawaii with his 11-year-old daughter Kate. We didn’t hope for such beauty in our first photo.

Francois Desrochers sent a photo of himself in the Village historique de Val-Jalbert in the city of Chambord. Desrochers reports that the milling village includes a chance to meet two legendary characters, a “trappeur, a fur trader of sorts. He and his Indian companion moved to the forest, just outside the town limits, and built a small log cabin. It’s a very nice place. You can visit part of the mill, walk on the streets and see the old houses and buildings.” Desrochers’ photo shows him between Bebert le trappeur and the trapper’s Indian wife, Chikowe.
