ERP supplier eXegeSys proved eXsyst Anywhere can move apps

EXegeSys ported its eAM asset maintenance solution to Linux and HP Integrity servers with Itanium-2 processors, a feat that the vendor’s CTO said proves the capability of its next-gen app development platform eXsyst. EXegeSys built eAM with eXsyst, and Steven Quinn said “The fact that no code changes were necessary speaks volumes about the ability of eXsyst Anywhere to create truly adaptable business applications."

The ERP provider, which took over HP’s MMII apps in the late 1990s, is offering a suite of applications that will let HP 3000 ERP sites migrate gradually to Unix and Linux platforms. eXsyst Anywhere apps can be customized by end-user organizations without having to modify the original source code. “Customizations in eAM are simple, fast and inexpensive,” said company officials in a press release.
