Resellers are
working hard to keep their 3000 status
DARs and resellers are
queuing up in April at places like Client Systems to take training on
MPE/iX 6.0, boning up for mandatory tests on the new operating system. The
resellers, who move the vast majority of HP 3000 systems, must pass a test
by the end of May to retain reseller status. The test asks reseller staff
to answer 40 questions in 60 minutes on MPE/iX 6.0. When 3000 resellers
took the same kind of test for MPE/iX 5.0, they had two hours to answer the
same number of questions. HP is raising the bar on being a reseller of 3000
products.
