HP’s top marketeer has left the building

After a year of submerging individual product brands like the e3000 in favor of promoting the HP corporate brand, the company’s chief marketer left in mid-August. Nick Earle hadn’t landed in his new post as of presstime, but a Ziff Davis publication reported he was headed for a job with one of HP’s e-services partners in Europe. Earle was chief architect of HP’s marketing push behind e-services, and the “HP Invent” campaign began on his watch as well. HP communication reps said that the strategy over the last year was “an attempt to help with HP’s branding and improve our ‘one face to the customer’ look."
