Lund lets loose with a new Windows forecasting tool for 3000 performance

Lund Performance Solutions released a new version of its Forecast Capacity Planner, software which uses a Windows interface to let e3000 administrators create models of future performance for their systems. Lund’s Craig Solomon said the software helps managers catch up to the era of multiple CPUs, using complex upgrade formulas “you just can’t get off a quick note or spreadsheet.” The software is designed to answer questions about timing of upgrade purchases, expected response levels, and whether changes to applications will impact response times. Forecast Capacity Planner allows users to collect data from their system, build a baseline model of the system, and create performance projections from that model. Forecast now combines or automates several multi-step procedures.
