Interex goes back into transition with its executive director post

After a little less than two months on the job, Darryl Armstrong left the HP user group Interex on May 3, according to a terse announcement from Interex board chairman Ed Witkow. The new hire was the subject of a four-month search and took his job leading the group’s staff as exec director on March 5, after Chuck Piercey retired from the executive’s post. Witkow didn’t want to comment on the reasons for Anderson’s departure, but said that a new search for a executive was underway at presstime. While that search begins again, long-time Interex manager and controller Manuel Villarreal is serving as acting director. “There’s no sense of crisis about this,” said board member Denys Beauchemin, who agreed that experienced departmental managers are already in place at the user group.
