The 3000’s third party apps-on-tap pioneer is being acquired

RJust a day after HP broke word that it was partnering with Telenomics to offer the PWARE phone management application as a 3000 e-service from an HP datacenter, another company validated the value of the 3000 with a bid to acquire Telenomics. Cybertel Communications Corp. signed a letter of intent in mid-August to acquire Telenomics, giving the longtime 3000 solution supplier a new corporate backer with a growing Voice over Internet (IP) network. Cybertel, a publically traded company which hopes to wholesale up to $12 million yearly in IP service, is building an Internet Telephony network to deliver IP long distance to all 50 states at a flat rate of $30 a month. Buying Telenomics means “we are able to enter a new area of business in telephony billing,” said Richard Mangiarelli, president and CEO of Cybertel. “This acquisition brings us closer to our goal of being a full service telecommunications provider.”
