WRQ kept its spot in the 100 Best Companies to Work For

HP 3000 connectivity supplier WRQ announced that for the second straight year it was named to the Fortune magazine Best 100 Companies to Work For list. WRQ said that about 35 percent of the companies from last year’s list didn’t make it onto the latest list. WRQ Chief Operating Officer Kevin Klustner said the company “is finishing up an absolutely outstanding year of record revenues and profits. Our HP 3000 connectivity business grew yet again in 1999, further confirmation that the 3000 itself continues to thrive. The 3000 community remains a core part of our strategy and business success.”

Other companies on the Fortune list include well-known 3000 shops such as Southwest Airlines (No. 2), Rodale Press (No. 67) and Nordstrom (No. 94), as well as HP (No. 43), WRQ at No. 28 was one of the smallest employers on the list, with 637 employees. Fortune noted that WRQ has dock space for kayaking commuters, on-site massages and “a nap room with futons.”
