The big XP512 arrays are ready for HP 3000 use

The next generation of HP’s high-end, high performance storage arrays are ready for the HP 3000, as the SureStore E Disk Array XP512 systems got support under MPE/iX 6.5 and PowerPatch 1 of 6.0. The XP512’s Crossbar Architecture performance is supposed to allow excellent sequential IO for data warehousing applications, and random IO computing paves the way for OLTP apps. The XP512 can scale from four to 512 disk drives without downtime, and its data can be accessed across multiple Unix, Windows NT/2000 and other open systems in addition to supporting MPE/iX. High-availability is provided by Continuous Access XP and Business copy XP software, and HP e3000 connectivity to the XP512 is via the SCSI to Fibre Channel router one router; per HBA and 8 LUNs per router are supported on the HP e3000.
