Get a patch for OpenDesk to open the Year 2000 door

Chris Bartram, founder of the 3000 mail transport and Internet OpenDesk gateway supplier 3k Associates, reports that HP discovered a problem with the user interface in all current releases of HP OpenDesk. “Apparently, the user interface will no longer run after 12/31/99” he says. “It stops dead with a message about the product being “out of date” (which, of course, it isn’t).” He adds that a patch is available to fix this; OD3013, perhaps another candidate for that Express 5 release. You can always ask HP’s Response Center for it, too. On a related note, there may also be issues (though not as severe) with the OpenDesk cc:Mail client in the 2000 year, issues which may or may not get fixed by HP.
