Linkway is getting a North American ODBC push

CSI Business Solutions is putting an extra push out to get the Linkway ODBC solution for HP 3000s in front of the masses. Joe Geiser of CSI reports that the Linkway pricing structure has been simplified to three tiers, unlimited clients. These tiers are named Workgroup, Midrange and Enterprise, cover all of the HP 3000s and closely align with HP’s new tier structure. Linkway was marketed previously in a three (system) by five (user level) tier matrix. Until December 31 the software will be sold at a 50 discount for any user currently looking at a ODBC driver but are not currently using one. Based on the three tiers, license costs are $3,000, $5,000 and $8,500. One-year support is 20 percent of list pricing.

Current ODBC users get what CSI is calling “TradeUP” incentives when a user has an ODBC-based application in production, or uses an ODBC driver in some capacity such as ad-hoc reporting, EIS, or in another application. Linkway TradeUP pricing is $1,500, $3,500 and $5,000. CSI said pricing is based on the Americas price list. Customers in other countries can contact CSL, or their resellers.
