Networked printing and output experts RAC Consulting announced the company has taken distribution and support duties on a quartet of programs from Triolet Systems, software that covers HP 3000 database management and sharing, among other tasks. Flexibase, Backchat, QGEN, and Quip have had their North American support and sales transferred from Brian Duncombe’s Triolet Systems to RAC. Flexibase is a database management utility; BackChat does database mirroring; QGEN generates COBOL source code from Query reports; QUIP is a user-friendly front end to Query. RAC can sell new customer licenses for the products. Triolet is paring down its operations overall in the months since its founder Duncombe finally collected a judgment in a lawsuit against Delrina for blocking his MPE development and business efforts at Carolian more than 16 years ago.
