The 3000 community wants to meet on the HP World show floor

Solutions suppliers and OpenMPE advocates were trying to secure a spot on the Chicago HP World conference floor for 3000 customers to meet. Although OpenMPE will have a meeting at the show, the advocacy group doesn’t have booth space booked on the conference floor. About a dozen 3000-related vendors have paid for space at the show, but the meeting point would give customers a spot to find one another and perhaps network about transition plans. The HP 3000 Community Meeting Point could be “just a space with some chairs and an odd table, and a message board, where 3000 people could meet or arrange to meet,” said one solutions supplier. Conferences often have a few unsold spaces by the time booth sales close, which could provide the Interex user group a way to make such a space available to its longest-dedicated members.
