UK HP conference
calls for 3000 papers

The UK User Group is preparing for a 1999 Conference October 19-20, making an active call for papers from the HP 3000 community. User Group General Manager Peter Bradley said, “We are receiving major backing from HP UK in the person of Hugh Jenkins, and, for HP 3000 specifics, from Emmet Hayes.” Hayes is the new HP 3000 manager for the UK named in late 1998. Bradley added that “many HP 3000-focused vendors have booked for the exhibition, and [CSY GM] Harry Sterling has promised senior HP representation.”

The user group wants HP 3000 users to submit an Abstract for the Conference, either for a 40-minute conference session, or for a half- or full day training session. Users can submit abstracts at the user group’s Web site: www.hpusers.org.uk.
